Suffolk woman faces 15 charges of child neglect after police find kids sleeping in tent as punishment

SUFFOLK, Va. - Suffolk Police arrested a woman after responding to a welfare call on Monday for alleged abuse and neglect of children.

Officers responded to the home in the 500 block of Valor Court and found that two juvenile males being forced to sleep outdoors in a tent regardless of weather conditions as a form of punishment.

Officers say living conditions within the home were also found to be in poor condition.

52-year-old Tiffany Alexandra Antonucci, of Suffolk, was arrested on a total of 15 charges including five counts of abuse and neglect of children; 5 counts of cruelty and injuries to children; and five counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

She was taken to Western Tidewater Regional Jail.

Child Protective Services also responded. They say the juveniles were not injured.

According to officials, the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
