HAMPTON ROADS, Va. - With the closure of many restaurants due to coronavirus, Virginia celebrates "Virginia is for Restaurant Lovers Takeout Week."
Many of Virginia restaurants have converted to only takeout and delivery after Governor Northam's ordered the closures of dine-in order at restaurants due to growing coronavirus concerns.
To show support during Virginia is for Restaurant Lovers Takeout Week, order takeout, delivery, or curb-side pickup from your favorite local restaurants from March 30 through April 5. Customers are asked to show their support on social media by using the hashtag, #VirginiaEatsLocal.
During this week, customers can even order their favorite wine or beer to-go. In response to Governor Northam's order, Virginia ABC adjusted its regulations for businesses with on-premise privileges to carry alcohol such as restaurants.
