CHESAPEAKE, Va. - Police worked a barricade situation after reports say a man shot and killed his wife on Friday.
Around 1:01 a.m., Chesapeake Police Officers were called to the 4100 block of Hamilton Street for reports of a shooting. Officers say that a domestic dispute occurred in a home that resulted in a shooting.
After a nearly 5 hour standoff with Chesapeake Police S.W.A.T., officials were able to gain entry to the home.
Police say that 47-year-old Joseph Terrell Jones shot his wife, 48-year-old Angela Renee Jones, killing her. The husband then killed himself.
