PORTSMOUTH, Va. – Detectives are investigating an incident that left one person seriously injured on Monday.
Around 11:15 p.m., the Emergency Communications Center got a notification about an injured man at the 900 block of Fayette Street. The man sustained a stab wound to the upper body, police said.
Officers said they provided life-saving aid before the victim's transport to a local hospital.
A suspect was taken into custody and the investigation is ongoing.
