NORFOLK, Va. - Technology tends to appear on someone’s wishlist, be it a new phone, maybe a video game system. It has become a staple of the holiday wishlist.
Recently, News 3 visited a local Verizon Wireless store to see what's big this holiday season.
Phones and tablets are always in demand, but so are smartwatches. Maksim Datsko, the store manager, spoke of the gizmo watch and said it is a good companion for your child.
The gizmo watch can allow parents to easily communicate with their children and locate them.
He added that they saw more interest in wireless tech due to children learning virtually.
"We've seen parents with virtual learning and how that's connected to the tablets and the Gizmo Watches,” Datsko said. “We’ve had several parents come in recently to purchase the gizmo watch for their children so you've definitely seen an increase during this pandemic."
He said a Gizmo Watch goes for roughly $179. Verizon does have promos going on for their other tech as well.
