NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Newport News Police are investigating a shooting that left a teen dead at a 7-Eleven on Saturday.
Officials say, around 11:13 p.m., police responded to 7-Eleven, in the 12400 block of Warwick Boulevard, in reference to a suspicious vehicle.
When police arrived they found a teen male in the vehicle that had been shot.
He was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were believed to be life-threatening. The teen later died from his injuries, police say.
There is no further information at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
