Three displaced, firefighter injured after Norfolk house fire

NORFOLK, Va. - A Friday afternoon house fire in the 900 block of Lamont Street has forced three people out of their home and left a firefighter with minor injuries.

The call came in around 1:34 a.m.

Upon arrival to the home in the Huntersville area of the city, crews with Norfolk Fire-Rescue found heavy smoke coming from the basement.

One firefighter was hurt during the incident. They were sent to the hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

No one else was hurt.

The three people who lived in the home will be displaced.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
