HAMPTON, Va. - Police are investigating after they say two men were shot on Monday night.
According to a tweet sent out by the Hampton Police Department, the shooting was reported in the 1800 block of Beall Drive around 11:31 p.m.
Officers found two male victims who had been shot.
One of the victims suffered life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Both victims were taken to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the victims were in separate rooms inside a residence in the 1800 block of Beall Drive when an unknown individual fired gunshots into the residence, striking both victims.
The motive and circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation, and there is no suspect information at this time.
