VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The Virginia Beach Fire Department responded to a commercial structure fire in the 2500 block of Production Road Thursday morning.
The call for the fire came in at 7:42 a.m., and crews arrived on scene at 7:46 a.m.
According to the department, the fire was limited to a small storage unit connected to the rear of the structure. The small fire was declared under control at 8:01 a.m.
There were 28 people inside the main building at the time of the fire. All made it outside safely, and there were no injuries to firefighters or civilians.
The fire's cause is still under investigation.
