Virginia Beach Police officer arrested, charged with domestic assault

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - A Virginia Beach Police officer was arrested and charged Wednesday with domestic assault.

Officer Christopher M. Otto, 38, was charged with one count of Domestic Assault for the alleged incident that happened in Virginia Beach on April 15.

Otto has been with the department for five years and is assigned to the Operations Division, Uniform Patrol.

He will remain on administrative assignment pending the outcome of the criminal and administrative investigations.

The Department's Office of Internal Affairs and the Detective Bureau are continuing to investigate the case.
