Man charged with second-degree murder in fatal Virginia Beach shooting

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - A 22-year-old Virginia Beach man was killed in a shooting in the 1000 block of Mineola Drive Friday afternoon, and a 21-year-old man has been charged with murder.

According to the Virginia Beach Police Department, the call for the shooting came in at 3:32 p.m. Friday, and when officers arrived at the scene they found 22-year-old Keyon Turner suffering from life-threatening injuries. Turner was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

The suspect in this shooting, 21-year-old Treshaun Lamont Snipes, was taken into custody just after midnight and charged with second-degree murder, using a firearm in commission of a felony and having a concealed weapon. He is currently being held in the Virginia Beach City Jail.
