Virginia Beach Police searching for suspect following armed 7-Eleven robbery

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The Virginia Beach Police Department is seeking a suspect following an armed robbery that took place early Tuesday morning.

According to police, on October 13 at approximately 4 a.m., a white male suspect entered the 7-Eleven on Kellam Road and asked to purchase two packs of Marlboro cigarettes. When the clerk turned to obtain the item, the suspect removed a knife from his hooded jacket and demanded the clerk empty the register.

The clerk followed the suspect's demands, and the suspect left the business with cash and the two packs of cigarettes.

According to police, the suspect was between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall with a slender build, wearing a black hooded jacket, dark-colored pants and black slip-on shoes or slides.
