VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The Virginia Beach Police Department is on the scene of a serious two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Princess Anne Road and Lynnhaven Parkway that left two people injured Saturday morning.
According to police, the call for the crash came in at 10:06 a.m. When police arrived, they found that the drivers of both vehicles needed treatment for injuries.
Both drivers were taken to local hospitals by Emergency Medical Services, and Nightingale was requested for one of the injured drivers.
There were no other passengers.
Westbound Princess Anne Road traffic from S. Independence Boulevard to Ferrell Parkway is shut down. Southbound traffic on S. Independence Boulevard is shut down between Dahlia Drive and Princess Anne Road.
Police are still investigating the crash, and the Fatal Crash Team is responding to further the investigation.
