STERLING, Va. - Authorities say a Virginia man is facing multiple charges after leading police on a high-speed pursuit that ended when he was shot by an officer.

Fifty-four-year-old Michael E. Bonner of Harrisonburg was taken into custody after being released from a hospital Friday afternoon.

He has been charged in Loudoun County with grand larceny of a vehicle, eluding police, hit and run, driving without a driver's license and unauthorized use of a stolen vehicle.

Authorities say the incident began Thursday evening when a trooper spotted a vehicle that had been reported out of Fairfax County.
