The Virginia Department of Health released their daily updated numbers involving coronavirus cases within the state.
According to their website, there are now 70,670 total cases, 67,830 of which are confirmed and 2,840 are probable. There are 1,966 total coronavirus related deaths, with 1,859 being confirmed and 107 being probable. The case numbers are up by 888, and deaths are up by 4 since Saturday.
A total of 801,205 people in Virginia have now been tested.
The Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association also updated their numbers. As of Sunday, there are 656 people currently being hospitalized for coronavirus. There are 389 people currently receiving inpatient hospital care whose test results are pending. 228 confirmed positive patients, and those whose test results are pending, are currently hospitalized in the ICU.
101 hospital patients, both confirmed for coronavirus, and those with test results pending, are currently on a ventilator. 611 ventilators are being used in hospitals out of the 2,977 in the state - that's 21% usage.
9,310 patients who have been hospitalized for coronavirus have been discharged.
