CHESAPEAKE, Va. – The Chesapeake Police Department are investigating a hit-and-run that left one woman with life-threatening injuries.
On Wednesday, December 9, around 8 a.m., officers responded to a report of an injured pedestrian at the intersection of Whistle Town Rd. and Fernham La.
The seriously injured woman was taken to a local hospital and the incident is still under investigation.
Several witnesses in the area were able to provide a suspect description to police, who after an intensive investigation were able to identify the driver involved. The suspect was later located and taken into custody.
33-year-old Michelle McKeown was arrested and charged with Felony Hit and Run.
The incident remains under investigation.
