PORTSMOUTH, Va. - Portsmouth Police are investigating a shooting that left one woman seriously injured Saturday afternoon.
Police say a call came in around 1:38 p.m. regarding a shooting incident on 164W near the West Norfolk Road exit.
According to police officials, the woman drove down the road after being shot and called police from Suffolk.
The woman was taken to a local hospital to be treated for serious injuries, police say.
