Woman shot in vehicle while traveling on West Mercury Boulevard in Hampton

HAMPTON, Va. - Hampton Police is seeking the public’s help in identifying the those in connection to a shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon.

Officials say around 4 p.m., they received a call in reference to a woman who walked into a hospital suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot injury.

According to the preliminary investigation, the woman was traveling in a vehicle in the 100 block of West Mercury Boulevard when she was shot by an unknown individual.

The motive and circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation and there is no suspect information at this time.
