HAMPTON, Va. - Police are investigating after a woman was shot on Sunday night.
Reports say the call for the incident came in around 11:21 p.m., and that one adult female is suffering from non-life threatening injuries due to a shooting.
Police later said the victim was a 19-year-old female victim who had been shot.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was sitting in a vehicle in the 400 block of Melville Road when an unknown individual approached and fired gunshots at the victim.
The motive and circumstances surrounding this incident remain under police investigation, and there is no suspect information at this time.
Police said the victim was uncooperative with investigators.
