HAMPTON, Va. - Friday was the opening for E’s Kitchen, a new family-owned soul food restaurant in Hampton.
Hampton Mayor Donnie Tuck was at the ribbon cutting for the newest soul food restaurant in the city.
The restaurant's owner told News 3 that while he knows it's a strange time to open a restaurant, this has been his dream for more than a decade.
“I'm so excited, I'm almost speechless. It's been a dream coming 15-plus years; I'm here. Me and my family starting something, building something,” said Ervin Graves, co-owner of E's Kitchen. "We're here to put a smile on your face… and good food in your stomach!”
