NORFOLK, Va. - The Virginia State Police is investigating after a woman was killed while walking down the middle of an I-64 off ramp Friday night.
According to police, the call for the crash came in at 11:36 p.m. Friday. Officers responded to the eastbound off ramp to eastbound I-264, where they learned a driver who took the off ramp struck the victim.
The victim, identified as 25-year-old New Jersey woman Danielle Lopez, died on impact.
Police say it is unknown at this time if alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
