Rock the Cape Festival
How about getting a head start on the weekend by rocking out to more than 40 musicians and artists down in the Outer Banks?
The 10th annual 'Rock the Cape' kicks off Thursday in Rodanthe.
The event runs through Friday and features concerts, an art show and gallery tour. The event is free and begins at 5 p.m.
Thursday from noon to 5 p.m., over 25 local and regional artists will gather on the lawn at Kitty Hawk Kites' Waves Village Watersports Center at milepost 40 in Rodanthe for the Rock the Cape Art Show.
A soundfront concert on the deck at Kitty Hawk Kites will start at 5 p.m.
On Friday, "Friday Arts on the Island," an all-day First Friday tour of the galleries on Hatteras Island, will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Blackbeard Pirate Festival
Shiver me timbers, mateys!
Ole Blackbeard is making his grand return to Hampton Roads this weekend — and he wants you to join him in the celebration!
The Hampton Blackbeard Pirate Festival returns for the first time since 2019. It kicks off with a Pirate Parlay on Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and runs throughout the weekend.
The main festival will be held Saturday, June 4 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, June 5 from noon to 6 p.m.
Newport News Greek Festival
The Newport News Greek Festival is returning for its 55th year.
The fun is being hosted by Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church.
You can enjoy authentic Greek food, dancing and music, plus a variety of community vendors.
The event is free and open to the public.
You can check it out starting Thursday through Sunday.
