CAPE CHARLES, Va. - In this week's Hiking Hampton Roads, sports reporter Megan Plain explores the Kiptopeke State Park in Cape Charles, Virginia.
According to the park's website, it offers recreational access to the Chesapeake Bay and the chance to explore a unique coastal habitat featuring a major flyway for migratory birds.
The 562-acre park features eight trails, four boardwalks and two overlooks. The trails range from 0.1 mile to more than a mile and a half. There are 5.1 miles total of hiking and biking trails.
