VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - In this week's Hiking Hampton Roads, sports reporter Megan Plain explores Marshview Park in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
According to the park's website, the 100 acres of wooded property features a new asphalt trail was opened in January 2015 and numerous unpaved trails.
The property was acquired by the U.S. Navy in the 1980s to prevent the expansion of the residential neighborhood and was acquired by Virginia Beach through a swap with the Navy in 2010.
