WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Kingsmill Resort and the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) announced today that the LPGA Pure Silk Championship will take place May 17 – 23, 2021 at Kingsmill Resort. Kingsmill Resort has held the Kingsmill Championship tournament annually since 2003, except in 2020 due to the global pandemic.

“Kingsmill Resort is honored and incredibly excited to once again partner with the LPGA Tour as we announce the extension of a 38-year-old tradition of professional golf being played at Kingsmill Resort,” said Joel Paige, Chief Operating Officer. “As the world of sports questions their future schedules, we are fortunate to remain on the LPGA tour calendar and welcome the return of the best players in the world to Kingsmill Resort to challenge the famed River Course in front of a world-wide TV audience.”

Past winners at Kingsmill include LPGA and World Golf Hall of Famers Annika Sorenstam, Se Ri Pak and Karrie Webb along with LPGA veteran Cristie Kerr, who has three titles to her name.

The safety of players and event staff remains paramount to ensure a well-run tournament. The decision of allowing spectators at the event will be decided as the event date draws closer.
