WHAT’S AT STAKE?

Liberty looks to continue an unbeaten season when it visits N.C. State in search of a third road win against Atlantic Coast Conference opponents. Hugh Freeze’s Flames can tie the program record of 11 straight wins dating to last season, while this is the first 8-0 start in program history. Dave Doeren’s Wolfpack beat Florida State last week to stop a two-game skid. N.C. State has won three of its four home games this season.

KEY MATCHUP

Liberty’s ground game has been one of the best in the Bowl Subdivision ranks. The Flames are 12th in the country by averaging 254.5 yards rushing per game, including 338 yards at Syracuse and 249 yards at Virginia Tech. N.C. State is around the middle of the FBS by allowing 178.5 yards rushing per game, but the Wolfpack struggled badly in losses to the Hokies (314) and North Carolina (326).
