LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. - What better time than Valentine's week for a story about a make-up after a break-up?

Months after vowing to never return to the Redskins, the only team for which he's ever played, Trent Williams is reportedly in communication with Washington. According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Williams and new Redskins head coach Ron Rivera had a 'positive conversation' and there's hope for a reunion. Williams, a seven-time Pro Bowl selection, sat-out the entire 2019 season due to a rift with the franchise.

However, the team has since fired longtime front office executive Bruce Allen and hired Ron Rivera as its new head coach. Rapoport adds, "there is still a long way to go and plenty of issues to sort out, but the Redskins have Williams in their 2020 plans."
