BLACKSBURG, Va. - Tyrece Radford, the second-leading scorer on the Virginia Tech men's basketball team, has been suspended indefinitely. The announcement came Monday morning. Tech says Radford did not uphold "the high standards Virginia Tech has for its students and athletes."

According to our sister station, WTVR-TV, Radford was arrested and charged with DUI and concealed weapon carry according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's office.

Radford, a redshirt sophomore from Baton Rouge, has started all 14 contests for the Hokies this season. He's averaging 11.1 points per game and leads all starters with a .537 field goal percentage.

Virginia Tech, 11-and-3 overall and 5-and-2 in ACC play, is scheduled to play at Notre Dame Wednesday.
