SUFFOLK, Va. - Suffolk Police are investigating a shooting that happened early Sunday morning.
Dispatch received a call at 3:11 a.m. stating that a man was suffering from a gunshot wound in the 100 block of Nancy Drive at Nansemond Square Apartments.
The victim received emergency medical assessment and treatment by Suffolk Fire & Rescue personnel and was ground transported to a local hospital with what are considered non-life threatening injuries, reports say.
Police say that several apartments and a vehicle were also damaged by gunfire during the incident.
