Meteorologist Myles Henderson’s First Warning Forecast
Finally, some sunshine… Clouds will clear out through midday and we will see some sunshine again. Temperatures will warm to the mid 60s today, about 20 degrees warmer than yesterday. It will be windy with winds shifting from south to west at 10 to 20 with higher gusts.
Wednesday will look nice but won’t feel as nice. We will see a nice mix of sun and clouds, but it will be much cooler. Temperatures will struggle to reach 40 and will feel more like the 20s and 30s with N/NE winds at 10 to 15 mph.
Rain is back on Thursday. Some snow/ice is possible closer to Central Virginia, but most of the frozen precipitation will be west of I-95 and north of Richmond. We will see mostly (if not all) rain through most of the day Thursday and into Friday morning. Highs will reach the low 50s Thursday and Friday, with strong winds.
Sunshine will return for the weekend, but so does the cold air. Highs will struggle to hit 40 on Saturday with strong NW winds. We will reach the low to mid 40s on Sunday with lighter winds.
