Cold air is here to stay this week...

A combination of cold temperatures and rainfall is expected Monday. A system is forecast to move along the coast Monday with scattered rain. A brief change over to rain/snow mix or even snow is possible near and west of Richmond. Uncertainty lies on where and when the area of low pressure approaches the region with the necessary moisture. Meanwhile, scattered showers with highs near 47 Monday.

Looking ahead, several dry and very cold days with wind chills in the 20s Tuesday morning and a high near 46. A gradual warming trend for the end of the week with highs returning to the 50s and 60s.
