Even more rain Friday, with a chance of severe storms...
Showers and storms will be widespread overnight. A few storms could be strong, but most of the strong storms will be south of our area. Temperatures will be mild and in the low to mid 60s.
Our chances for rain and storms will increase on Friday as an area of low pressure tracks from the Carolinas across eastern Virginia. A strong to severe thunderstorms is possible. Highs will warm to the low 80s on Friday and winds will back down another step (SE/S 10-15).
Some leftover showers and storms will linger for Saturday, but rain chances will drop and more sun will mix in for the rest of the holiday weekend. Highs will return to near 80 on Saturday, then drop to near 70 for Sunday and Monday.
