Meteorologist Myles Henderson’s First Warning Forecast

Heat, humidity, and storms… Today will be a very typical summer day. Highs will warm to near 90 this afternoon, about 5 degrees above normal. With the high humidity, it will feel more like the mid 90s this afternoon. We will see a nice mix of sun and clouds for the first half of the day. Showers and storms will fire up this afternoon to early evening. Some storms could be strong to severe with heavy downpours, gusty winds and hail possible.

Even more heat and humidity tomorrow. Highs will warm to the low and mid 90s on Tuesday. Afternoon heat index values will reach the upper 90s to near 100 for some spots. Expect partly cloudy skies through the day with scattered showers and storms popping up in the afternoon to evening.

It will be hot and humidity again Wednesday with another chance for afternoon showers and storms. Highs will drop to the mid 80s on Thursday, near normal for this time of year, and the coolest day of the week. We will see more sunshine and lower rain chances for Friday and this weekend.
