Meteorologist Maddie Kirker’s First Warning Forecast

Windy and chilly start to the weekend…

Scattered showers will be possible this evening to overnight with a few leftover Saturday morning. Lows will be in the upper 30s with wind chills in the upper 20s and low 30s.

Highs will only reach the upper 40s on Saturday with strong NNW winds at 10 to 20 and gusts to 30 mph. Clouds will clear through midday but the sunny skies will be misleading as wind chills during the afternoon will be in the upper 30s and low 40s.

Sunday will be the better pick of the weekend with highs warming to the upper 50s, light winds, and more sunshine. Don’t forget the extra hour of daylight! Thanks to daylight saving time beginning, sunset will be one hour later around 7:06 pm.

Unseasonably warm air makes a comeback early next week. Highs will climb to the upper 60s Monday to near 70 on Tuesday. Small rain chances return to the area Tuesday night and continue through the end of the week.
