First Warning Forecast

A pleasantly cool and dry start to the weekend ahead of the next weather maker.

The weekend is trending dry compared to increasing rain and storm chances for Monday and Tuesday. Meanwhile, dry and cool Saturday morning with most areas starting the day in the mid/upper 60s. Highs will rise into the upper 70s with a cool breeze between 10-15 mph and gusty at times.

Plenty of dry time again Sunday despite slightly higher shower and storm chances late in the day. Next week, a stalled frontal boundary along the coast and a low pressure system will move along the front and bring additional rain chances. 60 percent rain chances Monday and numerous showers expected to last into Tuesday and Wednesday.

The area could pick up several inches of rainfall through midweek. Added to that, temperatures will take a hit and fall below normal each day with highs in the mid 70s when the normal high is actually low/mid 80s.
