100-degree heat is setting up shop for the weekend!

Afternoon highs are trending in the middle 90s for most areas across Hampton Roads, Inland Virginia and North Carolina and just as hot along the North Carolina Outer Banks.

Heat index values will reach (100-105) through this afternoon as well the weekend during the hottest part of the day. In addition, expect partly cloudy skies with scattered showers and storms possible both days.

Just as hot if not hotter next week - 110 heat index values for both Monday and Tuesday afternoon. A scattered shower or storm is possible in the afternoon, typical for summer.
