Meteorologist Myles Henderson’s First Warning Forecast

*** Wind Advisory until 6 pm for the Eastern Shore, Hampton, Poquoson, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Currituck, Dare.

Clouds will continue to clear out through midday with mostly sunny skies this afternoon. Strong north to northwest winds at 15 to 25 with gusts to 40 mph will continue through the day. Temperatures will only reach the upper 30s, but it will feel more like the upper 20s. Expect a clear, cold, and windy night.

Friday will be sunny but cold and still windy. Temperatures will start in the 20s Friday morning, but it will feel like the teens with the NW winds at 10 to 20 and gusts to 30 mph. Highs will only reach the mid 30s, but it will feel more like the upper 20s.

Winds will back down for Saturday, but it will still be cold. Highs will return to the upper 30s. We will see sunshine for most of the day with clouds building in late. Our next chance for rain and snow moves in on Sunday. Expect snow showers Sunday morning, changing over to rain as highs warm to the mid and upper 40s.
