KJ's First Warning Forecast

A beautiful Sunday is underway! Daytime highs will only reach the low 70s with a cool breeze and isolated rain chances. The Outer Banks of North Carolina will have the best chance of rain again today.

The weather is beginning to turn unsettled with increasing rain chances for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Early week poses the best chances for soaking rainfall with likely impacts on your commute and other outdoor plans. At the same time, temperatures will remain in the low/mid 70s, which is below normal for this time of year as summer officially begins Saturday.

Showers and storms will continue to be possible Tuesday through Friday as a system hangs out close to the area. Temperatures will start to trend near 80 on Thursday and into the mid 80s on Friday as winds turn to the southwest along with an uptick in humidity.

A big turnaround is expected for the first day of summer with sunshine and highs near 90!
