KJ's First Warning Forecast

The month of July continues with a stretch of hot days.

This is the time of year when temperatures soar above the average. 88 is the season's daily average, yet mid 90s are expected with a heat index near 100 today. A sea breeze shower or storm is possible during the afternoon. Most areas will likely stay hot and dry without much relief from a shower.

Our next best chance of rain comes Monday along the approaching cold front. Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible during the afternoon and evening with the main threat being high wind gusts. Temperatures are expected to remain consistent in the low 90s even after the cold front passing through the area. However, a brief drop in humidity will make a difference in how it feels as we manage the heat.

High heat and humidity will return by late week with scattered showers and storm into the weekend.
