Meteorologist Myles Henderson’s First Warning Forecast

Tracking rain this weekend… We are off to another chilly start this morning with temperatures in the 30s and 40s. Areas of patchy frost are possible, mainly inland. We will see a nice mix of mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies today. Highs will warm to near 70 this afternoon, just above normal for this time of year. Winds will pick up through the day, east at 5 to 10 this morning to south at 10 to 20 this afternoon.

Two rounds of rain move in this weekend. Expect mostly cloudy skies with showers Saturday morning to midday. A strong to severe storm is possible, mainly in North Carolina. Showers will taper off and clouds will break up Saturday afternoon with highs in the mid 60s.

Sunday will be the pick of the weekend. We will warm to the upper 60s, near normal. Expect mostly sunny skies in the morning with clouds building in through the afternoon. The second round of rain will move in Sunday night. Monday is looking like a washout with widespread rain and isolated storms possible.
