First Warning Forecast:
Another round of Freezing Rain and Ice to kick off the weekend...
One winter storm system after another continues to impact the region. A system today is bringing us a mixed bag of precipitation, with widespread rain close to the coast, and freezing rain for inland areas closer to Interstate 95 as well the peninsulas.
Travel is expected to be icy and dangerously slick, especially along and west of I-95, so please be careful if you must be on the road and headed west Saturday morning.
In addition to the freezing rain, it will be windy on Saturday with NE winds at 10 to 20 and higher gusts. High temperatures will struggle to reach the low 40s. Rain chances will drop but clouds will linger for Sunday with highs in the low 40s and north winds at 10 to 15.
We are tracking two systems next week. One Monday to Tuesday and the next Thursday to Friday. Expect mostly rain from both chances as temperatures warm into the 50s.
