KJ's First Warning Forecast
The hottest weekend of the year is underway! The air feels very tropical even after Tropical Storm Fay is long gone. Today, the weekend kicks off with low-to-mid 90s and feels-like temperatures near 105 degrees.
An afternoon/evening shower or storm may cool us off. Expect a 40% chance on Saturday and a 30% chance on Sunday.
A slow-moving cold front will approach the region Monday with our next best chance of wet weather followed by drier conditions Tuesday and Wednesday. It's not going to bring significant relief from the heat... However, temperatures and humidity levels will drop.
Looking ahead, Thursday may be the hottest day of the year with temperatures of 100 degrees and feeling even hotter.
