Flash Flood Watch today... quick look at the Radar with Maddie Kirker ⚠️ wtkr.com/weather

Meteorologist Maddie Kirker's First Warning Forecast:
Flash Flood Watch in effect until midnight tonight as heavy rain and flooding looks very likely...

Get ready for a soggy Saturday. Isolated showers this morning will become more widespread this afternoon. Slow-moving storms will lead to an extremely elevated risk of seeing flash flooding on area roads and low lying areas. Our already saturated soils will have to compete with an additional 2"+ of rain. Due to the overcast skies, high temperatures will only reach the mid-80s, which is below normal for this time of year.

Showers and storms will be likely again tonight. Lows will be in the mid 70s.

Sunday will look and feel a lot like today. Skies will be mostly cloudy and showers and storms will be likely. I would not be surprised to see another Flash Flood Watch issued Sunday with the high possibility of even more rain. High temperatures Sunday will be a degree or two warmer and in the upper 80s.

Craving some sunshine? It looks like by Monday we'll finally see some breaks in the clouds. A shower or two will be possible early but it does look like Monday afternoon will be mainly dry. Highs Monday will be in the upper 80s.
