A shower/storm may “pop up” this evening but rain will not be widespread. Rain chances will end soon after the sun goes down and skies will be mostly clear. It'll be a very muggy night with low temperatures in the upper 70s.
The extreme heat and humidity return tomorrow. High temperatures will once again soar into the upper 90s as afternoon heat index values reach 105 to 110. Tuesday will feature a slightly higher chance of rain, as scattered showers and storms will develop tomorrow afternoon to evening.
Rain and storm chances will increase for the second half of the week as a cold front moves in and stalls out. Expect a mix of partly to mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers and storms. High temperatures will slide to the lows 90s and upper 80s for the end of the week.
