A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 8 a.m. for Surry and James City Counties and the city of Williamsburg.

A stationary front will maintain the chances for slow-moving storms with heavy rainfall capable of localized flooding. Saturday will be the wettest day of the weekend in terms of rainfall potential. At last, a lower chance of rain Sunday shouldn't disrupt those outdoor plans.

80s this weekend and humid with heat index values in the 90s. Overall, still below normal for this time of year, but much warmer conditions will return next week. Expect afternoon highs to increase into the low 90s and rain chances to decrease to mainly dry weather. There's a chance of seeing little to no rain for the five days after today.

Two tropical systems are forecast to make landfall along the Gulf coast next week. Eventually, some of that moisture could move in our direction. Stay tuned!
