Chief Meteorologist Patrick Rockey's First Warning Forecast:
Heat and humidity will surge on Friday, with temperatures climbing into the mid 90s and heat index values near 100 degrees. We will see mostly sunny skies tomorrow with very low rain chances.

A weak cold front will move in this weekend. Ahead of the front, we can expect highs near 90 on Saturday.

The front will spark a few showers and thunderstorms Saturday afternoon into early Saturday evening. We don't expect widespread rain, but keep your eyes and ears open if you have outdoor plans.

We'll enjoy lower temperatures and humidity values behind that front on Sunday. Expect highs back to the mid 80s. But we'll still have a 30% chance for an afternoon storm.

In fact, scattered showers are possible every afternoon next week, with high temperatures in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Welcome to July!
