First Warning Forecast:
Showers possible through the early afternoon, then drier air sets in tonight...

Conditions have improved immensely since last night and much of the area is waking up dry. Flooding is ongoing on a few roads in Surry county and Isle of Wight county, but the waters will recede by this afternoon. With that said, there remains the chance of showers and/or mist through the early part of this afternoon. Our flooding threat is not zero, as with any heavy shower, isolated flooding could still occur. But after about 4pm today, we'll have gradual clearing. High temperatures will be below-normal today, and in the low 80s. We'll finally get a chance to dry out overnight with only a slight chance of rain.

After a very soggy weekend, we'll get to enjoy some sunshine starting tomorrow. Skies will be partly cloudy and highs will be close to normal and in the mid-80s. A shower or two will be possible but it looks like most of the day will be dry.

Tuesday will be a repeat of Monday, but warmer. We'll get to enjoy a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the 80s. There will only be a slight chance of rain.

By midweek, afternoon showers and storms will return to the region. Highs will also be on the uptick with highs in the upper 80s Friday and low 90s by Saturday.
