First Warning Forecast:
Soaking rain and flooding possible this evening...

A Flash Flood Watch in effect from until 2 AM Saturday for the Peninsulas including the cities of Williamsburg, Gloucester and Newport News and the southside of Hampton Roads.

Scattered showers and storms are expected this evening and early overnight tonight. Storms will have the tendency to be slow-moving, which could lead to flash flooding. Lows will be in the low to mid 70s.

Slow-moving thunderstorms turned many neighborhoods into lakes on Thursday. Several areas received more than seven inches of rainfall within a span of 24 hours Thursday.

Additional rainfall is expected Friday afternoon due to a nearby stationary front, which will keep those wet weather chances around into the weekend. However, there's going to be dry time this weekend for those outdoor plans.

Timing out scattered showers and storms for Saturday afternoon, yet much drier for Sunday with only an isolated shower or storm possible. Expect another mainly dry day Monday before temperatures and rain chances go up!
