Meteorologist Maddie Kirker's First Warning Forecast:
Several rounds of rain ahead...
As a cold front nudges south through our area this morning we’ll have a small chance of rain through 9am. By midday skies will be mostly cloudy but our next rain chance won’t be far behind. By 6pm, another wave of energy will ride the front and lead to scattered showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms through sunrise Thursday. Severe weather is not expected. Temperatures will be a tad cooler today and in the 60s.
Thursday will be a similar setup to today. Expect a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the 60s. The stalled front will give way to the passage of another wave of energy that will arrive Thursday night and move out by Friday afternoon. Scattered showers and even a few thunderstorms will be possible.
Friday will be a bit soggy to start, but should be much drier by the afternoon. Once the rain ends it’s should be a pretty nice day, as highs warm back into the 70s.
Saturday will be dry, but noticeably cooler, with highs in the mid 50s. More rain moves in Sunday with even cooler highs near 50.
