Charlotte, N.C. – In compliance with a voluntary recall initiated by B. Robert’s Foods, Harris Teeter has removed the following product from its stores due to mislabeling which fails to identify a fish allergen.

This recall affects the product with UPC# 76108880140: “Fresh Foods Market Meatloaf with Red Skin Mashed Potatoes”.

The label on the top of each package correctly identifies the recalled product, but the bottom label of each package reads “Homestyle Meatloaf with Tomato Sauce.”

Harris Teeter discovered the ingredient label and product label on the entrées did not match. The company reported the error to B. Roberts Foods, which found that the “Meatloaf with Red Skin Mashed Potatoes” entrées had been given bottom labels intended for “Homestyle Meatloaf with Tomato Sauce.” The “Meatloaf with Red Skin Mashed Potatoes” is made with Worcestershire sauce which contains anchovies – a known fish allergen. Because the product was given the incorrect ingredient label, this allergen was not identified.

Harris Teeter is calling all customers who may have purchased the affected product.

Product quality and integrity are paramount to Harris Teeter. If you have a fish allergy or are concerned about the recalled product, please return the product to Harris Teeter for a full refund.
